It seems the former ECHL team and 2018 Kelly Cup Champs, the Colorado Eagles have finally returned the original Kelly Cup to the ECHL. The Cup somehow made its way to the current Kelly Cup Champions, the Newfoundland Growlers, this past weekend and the Growlers returned it to ECHL commissioner Ryan Crelin. The Growlers had been presented with a replica Kelly Cup trophy after they beat the Toledo Walleye in this past seasons championship finals. The Toledo Walleye head to Newfoundland this weekend for a rematch of the 2019 Kelly Cup Finals. For more on this story, check out this from WTOL.
