What? HANDSHAKES could be banned to avoid sexual harassment lawsuits.

Has it gone too far? Isn't a handshake a consensual agreement?

I saw this this morning and there's a link to the full article below, but how have we arrived here? I understand the sensetivity of sexual harassment in the workplace and beyond, but a handshake?

What is next? If I'm at a football game and our team scores a touchdown and I turn to fellow fans around me and give out high-fives, handshakes or God forbid a hug... And one of those fellow fans is a female, am I now subject to predator type scrutiny?

From the The Sun and linked article below:

“Whether that’s going too far or not is a question I would pose, because it’s contextual. Does shaking someone’s hand go too far?

“They may just say ‘no contact at all’ because there’s no grey area.”

'It comes as three out of four people want a complete ban on physical contact in the workplace, according to a recent survey of 2,000 adults by Totaljobs.'
