Would Doing This End The Debate?

Should "Art" be subject to revision?  Take our poll and let 101.5 The River know what you think.

We all know the “fervor” that’s kicked up because of the song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and it’s handful of lyrics that some have interpreted as being misogynist.  You also know that 101.5 The River has taken the song in its context with consideration to when the song was written and what its original intensions were.

Now there’s a debate to the songs overall expectance if it were re-recorded or edited to exclude “questionable” lyrics.

Honestly I’m kinda tired of talking about it and have trusted our listeners to make themselves heard one way or another.

Once again I’ll ask for your opinion.  This is strictly an opinion poll, not anything that would alter our position and whether or not we’ll play Baby, It’s Cold Outside or not.  101.5 The River IS playing the song and has not banned it from our airwaves.  So what do you think?  Would re-recording the song to eliminate some lyrics or just edit them out completely finally put this subject to bed?

I’ll tell you what I think.  Changing ANYTHING would be tantamount to covering up The Statue Of David or putting lip gloss on The Mona Lisa.  Art is art.  Leave it as it was intended for its creator.
