Demolition Drag Racing? This Is Really A Thing!

So today I came upon quite possibly the greatest discovery ever! Demolition drag racing (or demo drags for short) seems to be the drag racing equivalent of the Night of Destruction events at Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways. It seems the rule for this is that two vehicles "race" at a time with contact between the vehicles mandatory at least once before reaching the finish line. And apparently they leave the drag strip littered with the vehicles that couldn't make it to the finish. Then they put more (or all) the vehicles out that are still going in the end. I have to say, this has to be one of the most entertaining events I have ever seen. Being at actual drag racer himself, our very own afternoon guy Scott Miller is probably just shaking his head in disapproval at this form of drag racing...or even the fact that could even be considered a form of drag racing.
