How I Spent Ground Hog Day...

I rode up to the middle of nowhere (somewhere north and west of Lansing, Michigan) to a little dirt race track name Mid-Michigan Raceway Park for their annual Whiteout 100 winter racing event on Saturday. It was my first trip to Mid-Michigan Raceway Park which sat silent for the most part in 2018. The track roared back to life for some racing fun with a little bit of snow still covering most of the track. With the warmer temps on Saturday, it didn't take long for the snow to melt and mix with the top layer of the dirt racing surface to create messy and slick racing conditions.Luckily I was only there as a spectator so I don't have a mud covered race car to clean up, but I am thinking next year I may have to bring my car up to play in the mud in the annual Whiteout 100. Although, I guess it is usually cold enough that everything usually stays frozen without turning to mud.
