So the old Ballville Dam finally has come down in Fremont, Ohio. Built in 1913, there have been previous plans to demolish the structure to help with recreation and wildlife in the area. Things finally happened this past summer with the entire removal of the dam and the reclamation of land where silt had built up over the years. Hopes are that certain fish that were found down stream will now be found upstream from where the dam used to stand. Check out the progression with these aerial shot videos below.
