It is that time of year when spooky is cool. I used to work at the University of Toledo Health Science campus (aka UTMC) for a brief time and unbeknownst to me at the time was that the Toledo State Hospital used to be adjacent to the campus and that an old cemetery associated with the now torn down hospital still existed right next to the campus. The facility originally opened as the Toledo Asylum for the Insane back in 1888 and there are two cemeteries left on the property with almost 2,000 graves of former patients. One the the cemeteries is right on along the eastern border of the UT Health Science campus and one of my co-workers at the time said that strange things would happen when he would take walks in that area and swears it is haunted. There is a little more information about the cemeteries here on the Toledo State Hospital Cemetery Reclamation Project page.
