What Is Outhouse Racing? Sounds Kinda Crappy

While taping my racing podcast last night, the Hammer Down Racing Report, I learned of an added class to the final Saturday night racing program out at Oakshade Raceway. Outhouse races. Looks like portajohns on wheels. Apparently these take place a county fairs! Who knew!? Probably those that go to county fairs I presume, but this was the first that I had heard of such a thing which led to a lot of questions. Some were answered by the demonstration video below. I wondered if they emptied them first...which presumably they do otherwise it could turn into a very crappy situation. Now I am still a little fuzzy on the rules/procedure of this kind of racing, but I am excited to learn more Saturday night when I get to witness this madness firsthand.
