So I started racing my own car back in 2013 and until last Saturday, I had yet to win a heat race. For those of you unfamiliar with a Saturday night short track racing program, all drivers are grouped in to heat race events to start out the night. Where you finish in those races impacts where and if you will be starting in the night's main event. I have had a few second place finished, but for some reason, never could manage to win one of these heat race. I didn't think last Saturday would be the night to earn one of those wins especially after I spun during practice and wrecked the car a little (if you look at the green car missing a door panel in the video below...yeah, that was my fault). But we stitched things back together rand went out and led the entire race. Redrew to start on the pole of the big $1,000 to win Bomber Spectacular and unfortunately due to a mechanical issue, we didn't end up finishing very well in that main event race.
