The 30th Annual Brad Doty Classic is coming up this Tuesday (7/10/18) at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, OH and it is a pretty huge event. A prelude to the Kings Royal the following weekend at Eldora Speedway.
The event started as a benefit for Brad Doty 30 years ago at Attica Raceway Park after Doty suffered paralyzing injuries in a World of Outlaws sprint car race at Eldora Speedway in the 1988 Kings Royal.
The biggest names in sprint car racing have been involved in this event from race winners Steve Kinser, Dale Blaney and Jack Hewitt to NASCAR stars Kyle Larson, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne. Fifty-eight drivers competed in last year's event and promoters are expecting a similar car count on Tuesday. You might think with all the hype that these races might have the potential to be snoozers, but keep in mind the driver in the lead with five laps to go has rarely won the race.
