The start of yesterday's second race of the Dual in Detroit for the IndyCar series was delayed a bit after the 2019 Corvette pace car driven by GM executive Mark Reuss crashed during a pre-race pace lap. Reuss appeared to lose control coming off the second corner and slammed the wall with the front of the car before rolling to a stop with the full field of IndyCar drivers behind. Those drivers rolled to a stop as well while track crews worked to clean up the debris scattered across the track. There were no serious injuries. Ryan Hunter-Reay ended up going on to win Sunday's race on Belle Isle.
