So a couple weeks ago there was an incident at Anderson Speedway in Indiana where a driver took exception to an on track incident and drove up on on top of another race car. That melee ended with one driver getting tased by police.
This week a slightly similar incident occurred in the Fall Classic at WhyNot Motorsports Park in Mississippi. Apparently super late model driver Jack Sullivan had an issue with fellow racer Cade Dillard. Under caution, Sullivan drove the wrong way on the track straight toward Dillard and the impact flipped Dillard's car over. This instigated a pretty good brawl that followed.
As a fellow racer, I am under the opinion that there is no place in this sport for retaliation that involves using your car as a deadly weapon. Stuff happens in racing, intentional or not. But nothing can justify this kind of action. If you can't control your anger when stuff happens on the track, you definitely don't belong out there no matter how much driving talent you may have.
