I have spent most of my life in suburbs and it wasn't until just a few years ago that I started working downtown. I used to be a bit apprehensive about going downtown because of the traffic and finding parking. Both of which are not really issues. I have learned that downtown Toledo has so much to offer and still has a ton of potential to offer more. The new Middlegrounds Metropark, bars and restaurants, Toledo Museum of Art, National Museum of the Great Lakes, food trucks on Thursdays during the warmer months, events such as the Dragon Boat Festival, Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure and so much more. There is so much renovation going and now plans to finally develop the former area of the Toledo Sports Arena. Don't get me wrong, we still have a long way to go, but I feel we are definitely headed in the right direction.
