K-zoo Wings Captain Loses His Sh*t Against Walleye

So playoff hockey is extremely intense at all levels of the game, which is one of the reasons I enjoy the sport as much as I do especially around this time of year. Apparently, things got so intense for the Kalamazoo Wings' caption, Ben Wilson, that he totally lost his sh*t Saturday night at the Huntington Center in game two of the best of seven series.

Playoff hockey games are usually a lot more physical than regular season games, but I would classify Wilson's actions as assault. After Simon Denis of the Toledo Walleye attempted to score, Wilson cross checked Denis to the ice and then proceeded to relentlessly cross check the back of Denis six more times as the ref stood by and watched.

Wilson got a game misconduct for his actions and I am assuming will probably have a target on his back for the rest of the series if he isn't suspended for more games. The Walleye have announced that Denis will also miss game three.

The series resumes tomorrow (Tuesday) in Kalamazoo for game three.

More on the incident here.

Also, Evan Rankin made ESPN again with his sweet goal on Saturday night, slapping the puck out of the air and into the net.
