There is something about abandoned amusement parks that makes them strangely creepy and interesting at the same time...seeing home mother nature has reclaimed the area. Boblo Island actually shut down many years ago back in 1993. This island amusement park was situated in the Detroit River between Michigan and Canada. Back in high school, my buddy and I drove into Canada to spend the day there since the ferry ride was much shorter from the Canadian side and back then crossing the border wasn't too much of a big deal. I don't actually remember too much of the place, but it is pretty eerie to see some of the things still standing on the island.
