Section Of I-75 To Close For Two Years North Of Toledo

If you have ever driven up to Detroit from the Toledo area, chances are you crossed the largest bridge in Michigan over the River Rouge. Downtown Detroit comes into view as you come over the peak and begin to descend down the other side. Travelling up to Detroit still shouldn't be a big deal. Coming back, however, will be another story. The southbound lanes will close down starting on February 4, 2017 and the posted 51 mile detour will cause significant travel delays. Northbound traffic will be maintained throughout the project that will go through 2018.

From the video below, you can see the 49-year-old bridge is overdue for some work. I am glad I didn't see this video until after my trip up to the auto show in Detroit last weekend.
