Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby's agent, CJ LaBoy, broke his silence after the Raiders announced that a blockbuster trade to the Baltimore Ravens centered around his client was canceled Tuesday (March 10) night.
"Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr. Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons," LaBoy wrote on his X account.
LaBoy's update came after The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that the trade was called off because Crosby “did not pass his physical” on Tuesday and the Ravens would receive the two first-round picks (2026 and 2027) offered in the agreement made last Friday (March 6).
The Raiders announced the trade had been called off Tuesday night, claiming the Ravens backed out of the deal, in a statement shared on their social media accounts.
”The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time,” the Raiders said.
Crosby was placed on injured reserve with two games left in the 2026 NFL season and disgruntled about the decision, having left the building. The defensive end experienced the left knee injury on October 19, having still recorded 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 10 sacks during an injury-shortened season, earning his fifth Pro Bowl selection.
Crosby and the Raiders agreed to a three-year, $106.5 million extension, which includes $91.5 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history at the time of signing, last offseason.
