We all know and love Flea for his work with Red Hot Chili Peppers, but the bassist has a knack for acting, too. He most recently guest starred in the new Star Wars miniseries, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and also has credits in Back To The Future II and IIIThe Big Lebowski, Baby Driver, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, The ChaseMy Own Private Idaho, and voiced characters in The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Now, he's pitching his dream role.

Over the weekend, Flea tweeted "If a good director decides to make a popeye movie, I’m your man," and honestly, that would be the perfect casting. Of course, the beloved cartoon sailor has already been immortalized in a live action film, with the late, great Robin Williams playing Popeye in 1980, but with Hollywood's love of reboots we wouldn't be surprised if another project sprouted up. See Flea's tweet below.

Flea's been very active on social media since RHCP kicked off their tour earlier this month. He's shared everything from book recommendations to footage of John Frusciante shredding on guitar, and proven why he's not the band's lead singer with a hilarious cover of Styx's "Come Sail Away."

RHCP are currently touring in Europe and will continue that leg before heading to North America in July. See a full list of tour dates here.
