Toledo Announces Parking Restrictions For Wednesday

The City Safety Director has instituted a parking ban on highly trafficked city streets to ensure plows are able to completely clear snow. Cars parked on these streets after 12 p.m. tomorrow are subject to ticketing and towing.

Downtown residents can park their cars for free in one of three parking garages from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 12 p.m. Friday. The available garages are:

  • Port Lawrence Garage, 227 N. Saint Clair St.
  • Superior Garage, 334 N. Superior St.
  • Vistula Garage, 610 N. Superior St.

All residents are encouraged to keep cars off the roads to allow plows to thoroughly clear streets and prevent their vehicles from getting snowed in place.

Republic Services will not collect trash on Thursday, February 3. Residents are asked to please move trash cans off the streets by Wednesday night to allow the plows full access to the streets.

City of Toledo crews are working around the clock to respond to the winter storm. Plows work in phases and will begin with main routes before starting on residential roads. Crews will work to get all roads cleared as quickly as possibly and we appreciate your patience.

Requests for plows can be emailed to engagetoledo@toledo.oh.gov. Be sure to include the location of the request. Residential requests will be handled as crews work through phase 4 routes.
