David Hasselhoff Announces Heavy Metal Project 'Through The Night'

Actor and singer David Hasselhoff has announced plans for a new heavy metal project in collaboration with Austrian metal band CueStack.

'Hoff recorded a song called "Through The Night" with CueStack and recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help the unlikely collective complete its "cinematic music video project," which includes an official video for the song and an "in-depth Making-Of documentary."

With 33 days to go as of this writing, the Kickstarter campaign has already exceeded its modest initial fundraising goal of about $7,000. The band says the money raised so far will help complete the ambitious music video this year, but there's more to be done.

Backers can jump on board and receive rewards from Hasselhoff and the 'Stack, beginning at the €5 (about $6 USD) level. Perks ranging from digital downloads of the final product, to physical merch, memorabilia, a "Through the Night" EP box set and more, all the way up to the €1,999, which will earn you a signed Ibanez guitar used in the making of the song.

Apparently, the collaboration has been in the works since 2018, with Hasselhoff finally recording his parts last year. CueStack explains that they self-financed the project up to this point and need an investment to bring the music video and physical project to fruition.

Ultimately, CueStack says €40,000 (about $47,000 USD) would fully fund the endeavor.
