Bowling And Banquet Halls Back, NO Ohio State Fair - Governor DeWine

In his press briefing today Governor Mike DeWine announced the reopening of bowling alleys, miniature golf, batting cages, and wedding receptions of up to 300 people. There was one big disappointment today though and that was the cancellation of the Ohio State Fair. County fairs are still awaiting word on whether they will take place this year or not. DeWine said “The idea of having a state fair this year with that many people coming together just probably didn't work,” “It is certainly a sad day...That's just very difficult for young people and their families, particularly.”

Lt. Governor Husted also announced allowing school facilities to be made available for athletic training, schools may also make their facilities available for day camps, child care, and other community functions.

All of these moves come with some restrictions of course including crowd size, proper social distancing, and personal protection.

Meanwhile in Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz says that the 300 employees laid off earlier this year will remain so the city’s financial situation has not changed.
