Stone Temple Pilots album "Purple" will turn 25 next month. If you're anything like me, you're asking HOW? I remember listening to that album for the first time. I wasn't really sold on "Core", but "Purple" was different. Well the band has certainly been through some turmoil having lost not one but two lead singers (RIP Scott Weiland and Chester Bennington), but they still push on. The DeLeo brothers have recently unveiled a previously unheard live performance of Interstate Love Song. This live version was recorded August 23, 1994 in New Haven Connecticut. This version was played months before the album even came out. Pretty cool to hear. It will be included on the 25th anniversary reissue of Purple, out October 19th.
