George R.R. Martin is the author behind all of the books the series Game of Thrones was based on. George R. R. Martin also takes he sweet old time writing said books. Truth be told the last two books of the series have yet to be written. So after the show writers ran out of material they were left to their own devices. A lot of people were not really happy with the decisions they made and the direction the show went. So is it what George R.R. Martin would have wanted for his beloved characters? Your guess is as good as mine. The man can't give a clear answer. I'm really hoping our characters are in for a much happier ending via book.
