Eddie Vedder Covers The Beatles For South African School Choir: Watch

In 2005, Eddie Vedder released an album called The Molo Sessions. The project was recorded with The Walmer High School Choir of Port Elizabeth, South Africa and all proceeds went to help fund local schools in South Africa.

Now, over a decade later, the Pearl Jam frontman reunited with the choir and gave them a special performance at the high school. Equipped with his beloved ukulele, the rockstar treated students and staff to an acoustic rendition of The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun." The choir returned the favor and sang “Ndiyimbokodo” (“I’m a Rock") for Vedder.

Watch both performances below.

Joined by his wife Jill and their daughters Olivia and Harper Moon, Vedder also toured the school and helped plant a tree during his time at The Walmer. An Instagram account associated with the choir posted a gallery of photos commemorating the event. “After 14 years a beautiful reunion between Eddie Vedder and the Molo Choir," the caption reads. "Thank you so much to Eddie and his family for taking the time to make this amazing day possible.”

Check out the heartfelt post below.

During the same trip, Vedder played his first concert in Africa during the Global Citizen: Mandela 100 festival.
