(Toledo, OH) Toledo police are investigating after racist graffiti was spray-painted on a shuttered bar in West Toledo.
Someone spray-painted the vandalism on what was Vickie's Bar and Grill on Douglas Road early Saturday morning.
Toledo City Council members Chris Delaney, Yvonne Harper, and Nick Komives joined neighbors to remove the graffiti Sunday. Police are reviewing surveillance video to try and identify the vandal.
Vickie's Bar and Grill shut down earlier this summer after city officials filed a nuisance complaint in court. The bar's liquor license renewal was challenged after nieghbors complained for a long time and police stated incidents there were draining resources from other law enforcement duties.
