(Toledo, OH) Silence so far from a controversial Washington Local School board member asked by his colleagues to resign.
Former Washington Local school superintendent Patrick Hickey walked silently into and then out of a special school board meeting last night to perform a performance review of the district treasurer and talk about school safety.
But the school board member walked past protest signs calling for him to step down-- and three weeks ago other school board members passed a resolution asking him to resign amid an investigation into sexual misconduct with students in a Michigan district where he was a teacher and coach.
Comment may be harder to avoid at a second meeting tonight at the Conn-Wiesenberger American Legion hall, because there won't be a closed-door session and public pressure continues to mount. That meeting starts at 6 p.m.
