Hockey season (at least pre-season) has begun at Little Caesars Arena with the Detroit Red Wings hosting a game earlier this week (which they won) before losing the next night in Chicago. The home they left behind a couple seasons ago, the old Joe Louis Arena, or The Joe" as it was commonly referred to, still stands....sorta. The structure still mostly remains, but it is barely a shell of what used to house so many events including NHL Championships for the Detroit Red Wings. It is kind of sad to see "The Joe" stripped of her (or his I suppose since it is named Joe, right?) dignity.
