Detroit seems to be on the rebound after hitting rock bottom financially a few years ago, but there is still a long road ahead if it wishes to ever get back to its heyday. It is too bad the movie industry didn't stick around because there seems to be a big selection of post-apocalyptic looking settings that could be used to film at. Walking Dead could come film in Detroit and it probably wouldn't be quite as warm as filming in Georgia. Plus zombies walking around abandoned auto plants would be pretty cool.
