Local legend holds that La Pascualita is the preserved corpse of the original shop owner's daughter, who died tragically on her wedding day. Shortly after the owner's daughter died, a new mannequin showed up in the bridal shop's window. People couldn't help but notice the resemblance to the owner's beautiful late daughter.
