Ohio State QB Braxton Miller Out For Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSPD) -- Braxton Miller is out for the season, according to a report from ESPN. Ohio State University officials have not confirmed that information.

ESPN reports that an MRI done on Miller's throwing shoulder revealed the season-ending injury.

The Buckeyes' starting quarterback injured his shoulder during practice on Monday afternoon. He wasn't hit, but was throwing a pass.

Redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett would be next in line. He just supplanted sophomore Cardale Jones as the number two Buckeye signal caller.

Miller has piled up 8,346 yards from scrimmage in his career and has accounted for 84 touchdowns (52 pass, 32 rush). Jones is the only other Ohio State quarterback who has seen any game action and has accounted for just 128 total yards and one touchdown.

So how will this affect Miller's NFL draft stock? Sports agent and attorney Brett Adams believes Miller is already a known commodity to NFL teams. He doesn't think Miller should try for a medical redshirt and come back to Ohio State.

"My advice is to protect his body. He is a known commodity. Don't push it too soon, but that is going to seriously affect what Ohio State fans think about him," Adams said.
